Today the GB girls met the speedy Brazilians in their 3rd Olympic match. The GB team started of really well and were only trailing by three goals after 15 minutes played, then unfortunately GB made a few technical mistakes and were punished straight away by the fast Brazilians.

The GB team have had a training session with Brazil a few months back and had a little feel of how good Brazil are one against one, so they knew they had to play their best to have a chance against Brazil, but unfortunately it turned out to be a loss (17-30) for the GB girls.

I am sure the girls are reasonably satisfied with the result today. Brazil beat Montenegro the other day and that just goes to show what a world class team they are. The girls should be proud of their performance, especially number 11 Lyn Byl who took matters into her own hands on many occasions, also ending up being top scorer for the GB team with 5 goals.

On Friday at 9.30AM in the copper box the girls meet Angola, a team we surprised in the test event and won 22-20, but saying that, it will be a very tough match none the less. Make sure to tune in or get tickets for Friday 9.30AM.
