In their fourth Game at the Olympics our GB Men lost 17:34 against the African Champions.
Opening the Match with the first goal, Chris McDermott had already gotten 2 minutes suspension twice after 5 minutes into the game. Head coach Dragan Djukic had no other choice than to replace the defensive specialist with another Player to avoid an early red card.
The Tunisians on the other hand then made quite a few mistakes in the first Half. However, our GB Men were not able to take advantage of that and made technical errors themselves.
Halftime result 8:14.
Unfortunately, the second half was not much better. GB’s lack of concentration for a period of 10 minutes broke their neck and they had to leave the Court being beaten by 17:34.
Sebastien Edgar stood out today scoring 5 great Goals. His effort, his energy and commitment were admirable.
Our GB Players fought but couldn’t hide their fatigue from the previous Game where they all gave absolutely everything they had in them.
“Nobody could have given more, and neither could the supporters! Once again thank you all so, so much!” says Ciaran Williams on Facebook.
The Team will need all the support they can get on Monday, when they play their last Game against Iceland at 4.15pm and once again show the nation just how great Handball is.
