Great start from the GB girls today as they faced the African champions Angola.
The girls kept the game close throughout a long spell of the match, only trailing by 4 goals most of the time, but a few missed chances and misuderstandings in defence meant that GB weren’t able to close in on Angola and the Angolan team ended up winning 31-25.
There is a bit of disappointment within the team as they felt they would have been able to beat the Angolan team again.
The positives today were number 3 Holly Lam Moores scoring 5 goals and penalty queen number 86 Marie Gerbron top scorer for GB with 9 goals both had a great game.
Next and final match for GB in the London 2012 Olympic Games will be on Sunday at 2.30PM against Croatia, come and show your support for the girls.
