CHRIS Mohr scored six times as Great Britain Men took on handball powerhouse Hungary in their latest pre-Olympic warm up matches last week.
Great Britain started strongly in the game and matched their hosts for the first 15 minutes, but a partisan crowd of over 2,000 and temperatures of more than 40 degrees meant they couldn’t stay the pace.
18-10 down at half time, GB lost 42-20 but learned much from the game against a side in the top six in the world.
As well as Mohr’s six goals Mark Hawkins and Sebastien Edgar added three each.
“This was an important game for the players to feel the atmosphere and play a top six nation for the first time, though not reflected in the result there has been substantial improvement in our overall play.,” said Assistant Coach Bill Baillie.
