UK Sport consultation on elite funding – Your voice matters

Post published June 15, 2018 (Updated June 17, 2018)

As some of you may know UK Sport has just launched a consultation seeking views on its current and future funding model. You are all acutely aware that British Handball receives zero funding from this source and has little prospect of doing so in the future because we cannot guarantee a medal at the next Olympics. This is grossly unfair, however the current consultation is a once in a generation opportunity to get our voice heard. We must take it!

The attached open letter to everyone involved in handball across the UK provides further information on an alternative funding structure we are proposing and includes a link to the consultation feedback portal.
Please provide UK Sport with your views and forward the open letter on to anyone else who might support us so they can add their voice. This consultation, which runs until 19 August, is open to individuals not just clubs. It only takes about 20 mins to complete and if you’re short on time then you can just answer the questions that matter most.

All the best
